Emily Blunt went all pretty and girly to attend the 2013 "Freeing Voices, Changing Lives" Benefit Gala hedl at Tribeca Rooftop in New York City.

The British actress opted to wear a navy Zac Posen strapless dress from the Spring 2013 collection.

Unlike most tea-length dresses with voluminous tulle skirts, this is actually flattering and age-appropriate especially due to the flawless styling.

Adding a pop of colour via her red lips, Emily accessorized with a snakeskin clutch, navy Brian Atwood ankle-strap sandals and Neil Lane jewels.

Fashion Weeks... New York Fashion Week Fall 2013 Favourites

By Fashion Scanner · February 18, 2013 · 0 Comments ·

New York Fashion Week is officially over, so now it's time to compile a list of favourites! As usual, I had a tough time choosing just a few looks but here are some of the designs, in no particular order, that really caught my eye.

The Jason Wu collared blouse and peplum pants combo will look amazing on Diane Kruger or Zoe Saldana; the red floral detailed dress by Jill Stuart has "Emma Stone" written all over it: Tracy Reese showcased many cool mini dresses that I can totally see Kristen Stewart wearing and this multicoloured sequin dress is just an example.

NYFW gave us the first hint at the emerging trends for Fall, many of which we've seen in the past: lace, sheer fabrics, brocade, shimmering metallics, beading and fur. Additionally, there were plenty of military elements, chic suits and dresses mostly in shades of black, white and red.

With the Oscars just around the corner, celebrity stylists are on the hunt for the perfect gown and there were some show-stopping options that may have a red carpet debut next Sunday.

I'm obsessed with the vibrant pink Carolina Herrera gown and when I saw it, Taylor Swift and Zoe Saldana were the names that immediately came to my mind. I mentally pictured Angelina Jolie in Oscar de la Renta and Juan Carlos Obando and the pretty pink Zac Posen gown would look fabulous on Amanda Seyfried.

Red Carpet... Amanda Seyfried in Zac Posen - 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards

Amanda Seyfried was a vision of elegance when she stepped on the red carpet at the 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, last night.

The "Les Miserables" actress wore a midnight-blue Zac Posen gown from the Pre-Fall 2013 collection.

We have seen many variations of this same dress at the big award shows but, somehow, Amanda managed to look fresh and stylish in it.

I love the contrast of the sexy mermaid silhouette, which really shows off her great figure, and the tiered layers at the bottom that cascaded into a dramatic train, against the softness of her side-swept wavy locks, nude lips and smokey eyes.

The silver Lorraine Schwartz long pendant necklace also gave an unexpected edge to the look.

She was one of my favourites of the night.

Red Carpet... Naomi Watts in Zac Posen - 2013 Golden Globe Awards

Naomi Watts is definitely on a roll and she proved that once again when she glided the red carpet at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards, last night.

The actress stunned in a Zac Posen gown from the Pre-Fal 2013 collection.

In a sea full of nude dresses, this burgundy long-sleeve dress featuring a subtle keyhole detail, open back and a floor-sweeping train is a refreshing change.

Her accessories included a gold Salvatore Ferragamo box clutch and a pair of matching ruby-and-diamond drop earrings that were on full display thanks to her retro side-parted faux bob hairstyle.

I can't wait to Naomi continue her fashion streak throughout the rest of awards season, because if her past looks are any indication, it's gonna be good.

Red Carpet... Naomi Watts in Zac Posen - 'The Impossible' LA Premiere

Naomi Watts brought a spring-meets-retro vibe to the red carpet premiere of her new movie "The impossible" held at the ArcLight Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, last night.

The actress looked amazing dressed in a Zac Posen gown from the Resort 2013 collection.

The mermaid dress with a cut-out back and draped sleeves was entirely covered with a beautiful floral print in shades of white and purple. This is so different from what we usually see her wearing on the red carpet!

Her faux wavy bob provided some old Hollywood glamour and also gave us the added benefit of seeing her J/Hadley earrings. Minimal make-up, black nail polish and a gold Jennifer Meyer lizard bracelet completed the look.

Red Carpet... Teresa Palmer in Zac Posen - 'Lincoln' AFI Fest 2012 Premiere

Teresa Palmer attended the premiere of Steven Spielberg's highly anticipated presidential biopic "Lincoln" during the AFI Fest 2012 held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, last night.

The Australian actress chose to wear a Zac Posen dress from the Resort 2013 collection.

I love the burgundy shade of her fitted dress with padded shoulders, structured neckline and slashed long sleeves but the hemline combined with the retro updo and boring black peep-toes make the whole look unflattering and aging.

A black-and-gold clutch and bright pink lips finished the look.

Cover Spotlight... Selena Gomez for Glamour December 2012

Selena Gomez graced the December 2012 cover of Glamour magazine photographed by Ellen von Unwerth and styled by Maggie Mann.

Surrounded by red balloons, the 20-year-old actress looked stunning in cream Zac Posen strapless bustier gown from the Resort 2013 collection teamed with hot red lipstick and glamorous old Hollywood waves, while being honoured as one of the mag's "Women of the Year".

Here are some highlights from her interview. For more, pick up the holiday issue on newsstands November 6 or go to Glamour.com!

On Bieber fans: "Yeah, and I adore his fans. I would never, ever want to disrespect them. You know, I get it: I was obsessed with Jesse McCartney growing up! He was my world. My high school crush. So I respect it, and if anything, I admire it."

On growing up: "Yeah, because I was so scared and so shy back then. I mean, I grew up in one of the biggest high schools in the world, and that’s the Disney Channel. Everybody was falling in love with each other or not liking each other, and it was exhausting…and I was the shy one in the corner. And now I’m so opinionated, and I don’t have time for the cattiness. I have good people around me, and I’m glad I’m at the place I’m in. I wish I was there back then."

On not letting negativity effect her:  "If I had let all of the negative stuff affect me, I don’t think I would be satisfied with the person I am now. That’s what I tell my fans: If you’re miserable with everything going on in school, that is so not going to matter the moment you leave. My mom always told me, “Just turn the other cheek and keep moving forward.” That’s something I’ve always done, and now I look back and I have no regrets."

Red Carpet... January Jones in Zac Posen - 2012 Emmy Awards

By Fashion Scanner · September 24, 2012 · 0 Comments ·

January Jones made a dramatic red carpet return at the 2012 Emmy Awards last night.

The "Mad Man" actress opted for a risky Zac Posen gown from the Resort 2013 collection.

The black dress featured a nude bodice with crisscross black straps and plunging v-neckline, as well as a voluminous asymmetric sheer skirt.

With so that much going on her dress she accessorized with simple black accessories: a pair of Christian Louboutin platform peep-toes and a Cartier clutch.

Opting for a gothic approach, January wore her blonde locks slicked back into a severe updo and intense dark eye make-up.
