Reese Witherspoon in Zac Posen

Her red strapless figure-hugging Zac Posen mermaid gown with a sweet-heart neckline from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection was paired with diamond Fred Leighton earrings and matching bracelets. Minimal make-up and loose waves cascading down her shoulders completed the look.

This is a very sexy gown on her and I love the colour but the mermaid train looks a bit too long.

Freida Pinto in Prada

The Indian beauty opted for a minimalistic blue Prada strapless gown cinched at the waist with a thin black belt. She added some sparkle via her Chopard gold necklace and black box clutch with gold trims.

I actually like the hair and the make-up and even the necklace, but the dress looks kind of boring.

Jessica Chastain in Givenchy

The redhead actress arrived wearing a white Givenchy sleeveless high neck gown with pearl appliqués and a thin gold belt around the waist.

She wore a voluminous swept-back hairstyle that showed off her pearl Harry Winston earrings and chose a pale coral lipstick for a soft effect.

The high neck ruins the look for me.

Kate Winslet in Jenny Packham

The British star donned a Jenny Packham gown featuring a black top with key-hole detailing and split sleeves and an ivory silk skirt accented with an embellished waistband.

Her two-tone outfit was teamed with a black and gold box clutch and Fred Leighton jewellery. A simple updo with face-framing curls and soft make-up finished the simple look.

Claire Danes in J.Mendel

The star showed off her svelte figure in a black and white J. Mendel column gown from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection.

Her dress with a daring open back and crystal embroidered details was accessorized with Bulgari jewels. She chose to wear her hair in a simple slicked-back updo and added a pop of vibrant cherry-red lipstick.

Zooey Deschanel in Prada

"New Girl" actress made a fashion statement in her custom-made black Prada silk gown with a beaded neon green bodice and an open back accented with an ivory pearl embroidered collar. A matching green rectangular clutch and black satin platform heels, also by Prada accessorized the bold look.

Zooey wore her hair in her signature style featuring long bangs with lots of volume and opted for dramatic cat eyeliner.

Kate Beckinsale in Roberto Cavalli

Kate also wore a custom-made Roberto Cavalli gown. Her nude bustier dress with crystal lace embroidered was complemented with statement Lorraine Schwartz jewels including earrings and diamond cuffs on both wrists. Flawless make-up and a tousled updo provided the finishing touches.

This mermaid silhouette looks divine on her.

Heidi Klum in Calvin Klein

The supermodel looked great in a custom nude silk crepe Calvin Klein Collection halter dress with plunging open back. What makes this look is her beautiful Lorraine Schwartz turquoise necklace.

She kept it simple with straight blonde locks and minimal make-up.

Paula Patton in Monique Lhuillier

The "Mission Impossible" actress popped on the red carpet in a bright sunshine-yellow Monique Lhuillier strapless gown with gathering details. The bold look was styled with a curly half-up half-down hairstyle which allowed to see her oversized diamond stud earrings.

Diane Lane in Reem Acra

The actress looked ultra glamorous in a nude Reem Acra sequined gown which was paired with a silver box clutch and complementary gold bangles and drop earrings.

Retro glossy curls were just the right touch for this elegant look.

Julianne Moore in Chanel

The actress wore a black strapless Chanel gown with a gathered bodice and ruffled layers from the Couture Fall 2011 collection. She added a pop of colour with gorgeous emerald green Bulgari tassel earrings.

A simple black clutch and her hair  swept over one shoulder in perfectly styled curls topped off this effortless look.

Nicole Richie in Julien MacDonald

The bohemian-chic starlet opted for a silver art deco-inspired Julien MacDonald gown from the Spring 2012 collection. The textured dress with a sexy cut-out back was accessorized with Jimmy Choo sandals, layered bracelets and a silver clutch.

Her hair was styled in a 60’s inspired high ponytail.

Viola Davis in Emilio Pucci

Best Actress Nominee wore a custom burgundy chiffon Emilio Pucci one-shoulder gown. The high sexy slit revealed her bronze Jimmy Choo strappy sandals.

Gold Fred Leighton jewels with red stones and a Judith Leiber box clutch finished the look. This colour looks amazing on her.
