Keira Knightley covers the September 2012 issue of Harper's Bazaar UK magazine in time to promote her new movie "Anna Karenina".
Wearing a feathered Chanel jacket from the Fall 2012 collection and an on-trend berry lip colour, the actress looked amazing channeling "a modern-day Guinevere" according to stylist Cathy Kasterine.
For the darkly romantic Ellen Von Unwerth-shot editorial, the British beauty posed in designs from Gucci, Antonio Berardi, Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino, Lanvin, Balenciaga and L’Wren Scott.
Some interview highlights that accompanies Keira's first ever British Bazaar cover shoot:
On feeling more comfortable with life after turning 25:
"I hated late teens, I hated early twenties, all of that, I think a lot of people do. Possibly I think I’m one of those people that always would have done and it didn’t really matter where I was in life. But I was totally uncomfortable in everything. And all of a sudden 25 hit, and I was like, ‘Ah, I think I’m all right’. And actually after 25 it’s been pretty good. I definitely feel like I’ve been around the block a couple of times, and that’s great."
On being a fan of Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld:
"Karl’s amazing. He’s an avid reader. And he speaks about five different languages, so he’ll be rattling English to you and French to somebody else, and German to somebody else, and then the phone rings and he’s speaking in Italian."
On why she doesn’t like sitting front row at fashion shows:
"This sounds ridiculous but I don’t actually like having my picture taken and I tend to avoid anything where I have that…I would totally sneak in the back! And sit in the back row. I love seeing [the collections] as they were presented. Because it is art, when you see it. And the couple [of shows] that I’ve been to, they were absolutely extraordinary."
